Important
This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Azure Databricks previews.
This page describes how to set up Meta Ads as a data source for ingestion using Databricks Lakeflow Connect.
The managed Meta Ads connector uses OAuth 2.0 user-to-machine (U2M) authentication with a Azure Databricks-managed OAuth app. Azure Databricks manages the OAuth app registration and token refresh automatically, so you don't need to create or configure a Meta developer app. Azure Databricks automatically requests the OAuth scopes (ads_read, ads_management, business_management, pages_read_engagement, and pages_show_list). You don't configure them separately.
Before you begin
To set up Meta Ads as a data source, you need:
- A Meta Business Manager account with access to the ad accounts you want to ingest from.
- A Meta user account with permission to access those ad accounts. You sign in with this account when you create the connection.
Next steps
You authenticate with Meta when you create the connection, so no additional source-side configuration is required. Continue to create a connection.
