Verwendung von Tupelfunktionen

Eine Tupelfunktion ruft ein Tupel aus einer Menge ab oder ruft ein Tupel ab, indem sie die Zeichenkettendarstellung eines Tupels auflöst.

Tupelfunktionen, wie Mitgliederfunktionen und Mengenfunktionen, sind essenziell, um die multidimensionalen Strukturen in Analysis Services zu bewältigen.

In MDX gibt es drei Tupelfunktionen: Current (MDX),Item (Tuple) (MDX) und StrToTuple (MDX). Die folgende Beispielanfrage zeigt, wie man jede davon verwendet:
