    Dear KA D,

Thank you for your post on the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand you're having trouble receiving security and verification emails from other services in your Outlook.com or Hotmail account. I know how frustrating this can be, and since the emails aren't even in your junk folder, the issue is likely with an email filter or setting.

To help resolve this, here are the most effective steps you can take.

    Step 1: Whitelist the Senders

The most effective way to ensure that these specific emails are delivered is to add the sender's address or domain to your Safe Senders list.

    1. Sign in to your Outlook.com account on the web.
    2. Click the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner, and then select View all Outlook settings
    3. Navigate to Junk email
    4. Under the Safe senders and domains section, click + Add
    5. Type the email address or the domain (e.g., account.google.com, paypal.com) of the service sending you the code, and then press Enter
    6. Click Save

Step 2: Check Your Inbox Filters

Sometimes, emails can be filtered into different tabs or folders.

    1. If you are using Focused Inbox, be sure to check the "Other" tab, as these types of emails can sometimes be routed there.
    2. Review your Inbox rules to ensure you don't have a custom rule that is automatically moving or deleting these emails. You can find this under Settings > Mail > Rules

Step 3: Verify Blocked Senders and Mailbox Storage

It is also a good idea to confirm you haven't accidentally blocked the sender or that your mailbox is not full.

    1. Check the Blocked senders and domains list under the Junk email settings to ensure the sender is not listed there.
    2. Go to Settings > General > Storage to make sure your mailbox is not full, as this would prevent all new emails from being delivered.

If you have tried all of these steps and are still not receiving the verification emails, please let us know. We can then do some further investigation.

We look forward to your response.
