An Azure service that turns documents into usable data. Previously known as Azure Form Recognizer.
Hi Kuan, Keith ,
Thanks for the question.
Moving from the S0 (pay-as-you-go) tier to a commitment tier for Azure Document Intelligence does not provide improved performance or faster response times for invoice or receipt processing. The commitment tier is a pricing and billing option and does not change the underlying service behavior, throughput, or latency characteristics.
The primary benefit of subscribing to a commitment tier is cost optimization and predictable monthly billing when you have a consistent or high volume of document processing. By committing to a certain usage level, you can benefit from lower per-page costs compared to standard pay-as-you-go pricing. However, the processing speed and response times for the Document Intelligence APIs remain the same regardless of whether you are using S0 or a commitment tier.
