Alright BET bro, I GOTCHU:
Since the issue started immediately after the March update, the most reliable fix is to roll back the update from the Windows Recovery Environment.
- Boot into the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE):
- Power on the PC, and as soon as the Windows logo appears, hold the power button to force a shutdown.
- Repeat this 3 times. On the third boot, WinRE should appear automatically.
- If it doesn’t, you can also boot from a Windows 11 installation USB and choose “Repair your computer.”
- Go to Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Uninstall updates.
- First try “Uninstall latest quality update.”
- If that doesn’t resolve the issue, try “Uninstall latest feature update.”
- If the system still won’t boot afterward, return to Advanced options → Command Prompt and run these repair commands: chkdsk C: /f sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows dism /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /restorehealth
These steps repair corrupted system files that can occur after a failed update.
If none of the above works, you can also try Startup Repair or System Restore (if a restore point exists). Resetting the PC should only be used as a last resort.
If ALL else fails, please feel free to let me know! and if during any of this you get any error codes or anything, Make SURE to write them down to let me know later, because those could possibly provide some really important intel on this.
(Also, sorry if I sound super nerdy about this. I’m only 13 (8th grade) and I want to be either a Computer Engineer or a PC Repair Tech when I grow up, so I’m trying to get as much exposure to this stuff as I can. I'm trying to help people just because I can, and to get experience for later on in life.)
