I'm able to switch accounts using the teams app but in pwa after the authentication it still points to my previous account instead of switching. This happening from yesterday (25th June 2026) . I have tried signing out but the switch just doesn't work.

Hi @Manjoosha B Shetty,

Thanks for sharing the details so clearly.

Since Teams PWA is essentially the web version of Teams installed through your browser, it relies heavily on your browser’s sign-in sessions and cached data. Because of that, issues like this often happen when older authentication data or session cookies are still stored and end up overriding the account you’re trying to switch to.

A good first step would be to open Teams in an InPrivate or Incognito window and sign in directly with the account/organization you want to use there. If it works as expected in that environment, it’s a strong indication that the browser cache is the root cause.

In that case, you can go ahead and clear your browser cache and cookies, especially anything related to Microsoft or Teams (and if possible, it’s even better to clear all browser data to make sure nothing old is left behind). If you’re using Teams as a PWA, it can also help to remove and reinstall the PWA afterward so it starts fresh with a clean session.

Please give those steps a try when you have a moment. Hopefully, that will get account switching working smoothly again.

If it still behaves the same way afterward, please leave a comment under this post. This is the best way for me to receive notifications and follow up with you promptly.

Thank you so much again for taking time.
