Not Receiving Gmail Calendar Invites in Outlook

I am not receiving calendar invitations in my Outlook email when they are sent from a Gmail account. I am able to receive regular emails from the same Gmail account without any issue, but calendar invites sent from that account do not appear in Outlook.

I have confirmed that the sender is on the approved/safe sender list, and as noted, regular emails from this sender are being received successfully. The issue seems to affect only calendar invitations.

Could you please help investigate why calendar invites from this Gmail account are not being delivered or appearing in Outlook?

Appears no one has the answer to this issue. I'm thinking, but without proof, that it something in the NEW Outlook that is rejecting the invite. I have same issue and will try going back to the Classic Outlook to see if that fixes it.

There have been multiple reports of this problem, but not nearly enough to assume that it's a bug in the basic code. e.g. I am not having any problems at all.

I am not able to help you with iCloud issues. I would suggest that you start a new thread using the "Ask a question" button at the top of this page to create a new Question and include the details for your iCloud Calendar problem.

Do you mean that you do not see the GMail Meeting Invites in your Inbox? Or that there are no RSVP buttons (Accept, Decline) on the invite email?

Hi, I am not receiving the email with the calendar invite at all. I can receive emails from the gmail address but when I sent a meeting invite, it never comes to the outlook account- so no email or calendar invitation.

1 -- I will assume you are using Outlook Web. If not, or you're not sure, see below.

2 -- Are you using a personal Microsoft Account (ends with outlook.com, hotmail.com)? If not, what is the domain (the part after the "@") for your email? (Do NOT reply with your full email address)

3 -- Is the Google User using a personal Google Account (i.e. his email ends in "gmail.com")? If not, what is his domain?

4 -- Is the problem with just a single Google User? i.e. Do you receive invites OK from other Google Users?

5 -- Did you ever received invites OK from this Google User in the past?

What Outlook client do you have?

I use a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.) -> Outlook Web

I use a Mac -> Outlook for Mac

I use a phone or tablet -> Outlook for Android or Outlook for iOS (iPhone, iPad)

I use a Windows PC and my Outlook menu has ONLY the tabs: File | Home | View | Help -> New Outlook

Else -> Classic Outlook

I have a work outlook so it ends with @astrazeneca.com and the google account is my personal account. I am able to receive emails from my gmail.com to the astrazeneca.com but when I try to send calendar invites, nothing comes up, not even an email. But if there is no calendar invite attached and it is just an email, there is no problem. I use Microsoft edge.

Thank you for the info. A second data point would really help cut down the possible suspects.

Please use my numbers to prefix your answers.

1 - Have you ever had problems getting meeting invites from someone outside your Company? (Your IT could be blocking)

2 - Can you receive meeting invites from any other Google users? (Might be a problem with your Google Account)

3 - Do you have any Outlook Rules: File -> Settings -> Mail -> Rules

Thanks for the detailed response. It does not seem as though I have any rules. I have not had a problem that I am aware of of receiving invites from other accounts. I have also been able to receive from other google users.

1 -- Do I understand correctly - You do not receive Meeting Invites sent to your astrazeneca.com domain only from one specific GMail address, which you own.

2 -- But emails without an ICS attachment from the same GMail account are received OK?

3 -- Are you using the standard Google Calendar web interface to generate the meeting request?

Hi again,

Apologies, it is my iCloud Calendar invites that not showing in Outlook 365 Calendar/ Inbox. I have also checked with other icloud calendar invites and it seems as though none of them are received to my outlook account, but I am able to receive from outlook to the icloud calendar.
