Saved passwords missing from Microsoft Edge Password Manager across devices

Hello, I have been using Microsoft Edge on multiple computers (Windows and Mac). Each time I signed in with my Microsoft account, my saved passwords would sync and autofill correctly.

Recently, after downloading Edge on my MacBook Air and signing in, the Password Manager shows “no passwords saved.” I have not deleted any passwords myself.

Steps I’ve already tried:

Confirmed I’m signed into the correct Microsoft account.

Checked that sync is enabled for passwords.

Verified on both Windows and Mac devices.

Despite this, the vault is empty. Could you please confirm whether my saved passwords are still stored in the cloud and advise how I can restore access?

Thank you.

    Hello Allan odaba

If Microsoft Edge is showing "No passwords saved" on all devices, unfortunately no one in the public forum can directly verify whether your passwords are still stored in Microsoft's cloud for your account.

Since you've already confirmed that you're signed into the correct account and that password sync is enabled, I recommend the following additional checks:

    1. In Edge, go to Settings > Profiles > Sync and select Re-sync data to this device. Microsoft recommends performing a re-sync or sync reset when data is not appearing correctly across devices.
    2. Visit edge://sync-internals and verify that sync is enabled and that your devices appear in the sync list.
    3. Check whether another device still contains the passwords locally. If so, disconnect it from the internet and export the passwords before further sync attempts. This has helped some users recover password data when sync-related issues occurred.
    4. Ensure Edge is fully updated on both Windows and macOS.

If the Password Manager shows 0 passwords synced across all devices after these checks, it may indicate that the current synced data set is empty, and forum moderators cannot restore or access account data directly.

If needed, you can contact Microsoft Support from Help and feedback > Contact support within Edge for account-specific assistance.

I hope this helps, and please let us know whether any other device still shows the saved passwords locally.
