I want to send the link to a TEAMS meeting recap to members outside the organization. How do I do that?

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out about sharing the meeting recap with people outside your organization.

Those external recipients do not need to be added to your tenant as members, but they cannot open the recap through the plain "Copy link" option on their own. The recap is powered by the meeting recording and transcript, which are stored in the organizer's OneDrive, and external attendees have no access to those files by default. To get the full recording to them, the organizer will need to share that file directly:

    1. Open OneDrive and go to the Recordings folder (for a channel meeting, open the channel's Files location in SharePoint instead).
    2. Locate the recording file, right-click it, and select Share.
    3. Select the link settings (the gear or the current audience shown, such as "People in your organization"), then change it to Specific people.
    4. Enter the external recipient's email address, set the permission to view, and select Apply.
    5. Select Copy link and send it to the recipient, or send it straight from the share dialog.

Please note that external sharing must be enabled in the tenant for the "Specific people" link to reach someone outside the organization, and if that option is greyed out or blocked, the organization's IT admin controls it in the SharePoint/OneDrive sharing settings.
