When I create a table in SQL, after right-clicking on the table name and selecting the design option, it gives this error: This backend version is not supported to design database diagrams or tables. (MS Visual Database Tools)

2026-08-09T12:13:14.2733333+00:00 I am not able to reproduce the error with the version information you have given. However, if I try SSMS 20 and connect to SQL 2025, I get that exact error when selecting the Design option for a table. Then again, I installed the RTM version of SQL 2025 without any GDR, and I was not able to find KB502333 (There appears to be a digit missing.) Can you share the exact output of
SELECT @@version?
