As usual, I still get the "Account restriction - You can't comment for 72 hours" message when I try to comment on anything on MSN. This has been like this for YEARS! I broke NO rules, EVER. Just how long is Microsoft's 72 hours??? This makes ZERO sense because it also says "Great work! There are no violations on your account. Thanks for following our community guidelines."

I have been trying to get an answer from Microsoft for YEARS and I NEVER get any help with this!!!!

    Welcome Bryan Novak,

Since this is a public forum, we will hide your personal identifiable information, and I have sent that image of yours containing your personal identifiable information in a private message so we can work together to resolve the issue.

I'm sorry you're still dealing with this. I can completely understand your frustration, especially when the message continues to say You can't comment for 72 hours for years while the same page reports There are no violations on your account. That contradiction would be confusing for anyone, and it is understandable that you're looking for a clear explanation.

Unfortunately, account restrictions related to MSN commenting cannot be reviewed or removed through the Microsoft Q&A forum, and please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

At this point, the best option is to contact Microsoft Support directly and request that they review the commenting status of your Microsoft account:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account restriction" and press Enter.
    3. Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.
    5. When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".
    6. For the category, choose "Manage account security".
    7. Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".
    8. When prompted, provide a valid contact email where Microsoft can reach you regarding your case.
    9. Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.

I hope support can investigate the account status and provide more information. Thank you for taking the time to report the issue.
