My personal Microsoft account was compromised. My original Microsoft account/alias was cha***@gmail.com. I still have access to the Windows PC that was previously connected to this account, and OneDrive on that PC still identifies cha***@gmail.com. However, Microsoft now says that this account doesn't exist, and when I try to reauthenticate OneDrive it sends verification to an email address I don't recognize: faj***notboxletters.com. I have already completed the account recovery form. I also have screenshots showing the suspicious security information and the old OneDrive association. I need help determining whether my original account/alias was changed or compromised and what recovery route is available.

    Hi @Gautam Chand

Do you still have access to your account at https://account.microsoft.com/?

If you do, change the primary alias back to your original alias, remove any suspicious or unrecognized devices, and immediately change your password and enable 2FA.

Also, go to Windows Security and do a full or quick scan on your computer to make sure the hacker doesn't inject anything malicious into your computer.

You may contact Microsoft support directly by opening Get Help search 'account hacked'. If automated suggestions don't solve it, choose Contact Support; you will be offered live chat or call back options.

    Best wishes,

    Nanta
