I recently got hacked today because i did not notice that i already got hacked

yet my friend have sended me a game called Minecraft, that's the only game i wanted to play now it turns into a dust 😔

i feel so dumb why do i even fall of on these discord server by verifying your account to appeal it was a days ago, i should've have known it but i didn't if only there's a way to recover my xbox game it would be appreciated

and i had my receipt for proof that i have a game and an ownership of my xbox account that got compromised

too late that my microsoft account got changed so quickly that i will never login again and had to make a new account for it is there a way we can proceed to recover it? and yes i got an email that changes it probably got bugged on it

I hope you guys become aware of these scams discord server when finding it on websites, i didn't know there was a real discord server of the Minecraft server, be safe with your account and enable your A2F Auth

I understand how upsetting this must be, especially when Minecraft was a gift and you still have the receipt.

Since you received an email about the account changes, please check whether that message contains an option to report that the change was not made by you or to secure the account. Make sure the message genuinely came from Microsoft before selecting any links.

Please also keep the receipt, Xbox gamertag, previous account details and any Microsoft security notifications. Do not post them publicly but have them ready if Microsoft or Minecraft Support requests proof of ownership through a private support channel.

If the Microsoft account email and security info were changed by the attacker, the supported recovery path is the Microsoft account hacked-account recovery flow.

Start with the Microsoft sign-in helper tool for hacked accounts: Start
Before changing or resetting anything, run a full malware scan on the PC:
- Open Windows Security
- Go to Virus and threat protection
- Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
If access is still possible, change the password immediately. If sign-in no longer works, use the password reset flow.
After recovery, review account settings that attackers commonly change:
- connected accounts
- forwarding
- automatic replies
Add another way to sign in or verify identity in Advanced security options so future recovery is easier.

A Microsoft account recovery code is a 25-digit code that can help regain access if the password is forgotten or the account is compromised.

If the attacker already replaced the primary email/security info and the recovery process is unsuccessful, the available context indicates there is no other working recovery method through support.
