Hi PS_LOL,
I understand how upsetting this must be, especially when Minecraft was a gift and you still have the receipt.
Since you received an email about the account changes, please check whether that message contains an option to report that the change was not made by you or to secure the account. Make sure the message genuinely came from Microsoft before selecting any links.
Please also keep the receipt, Xbox gamertag, previous account details and any Microsoft security notifications. Do not post them publicly but have them ready if Microsoft or Minecraft Support requests proof of ownership through a private support channel.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors cannot access the account, reverse security changes or restore the Minecraft entitlement. Because the game is associated with the compromised Microsoft account, recovering that original account should be the priority. You can use the https://aka.ms/sign-in-helper or contact Microsoft Support using another accessible account.
For questions about whether the Minecraft entitlement can be restored, please also contact Minecraft Support. Keep in mind that proof of purchase may help with their investigation, but it does not guarantee that the game can be transferred to a different Microsoft account. Thank you so much for your understanding.Â
Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
