My computer almost died during a windows update. It had Office 2013 and Publisher.

It will not allow me to reinstall my license key.

    Hi @Charles R Wallace

I’m sorry the Windows update left your Office installation unusable.

If the product key was previously redeemed, do not enter it again because it may report that it has already been used.

    Please try these steps instead:

    1. Sign in to Microsoft Services & subscriptions using the Microsoft account originally associated with Office 2013.
    2. Check whether Office 2013 or Publisher appears and whether an installation option is available.
    3. If you installed Office from a DVD or other original installation media, you may need that media again.

Please note that Office 2013 support ended on April 11, 2023, and Publisher 2013 is also retired.

If the license is not listed, tell us the exact error shown when you enter the key and whether Office 2013 was purchased separately, supplied on a disc, or preinstalled on the computer. Do not post the product key public

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance
