Why is my office 2019 products not working? I keep getting a repair now message, but it does not fix the issue.

    Hi @philip

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum

The Repair Now message can appear when Office cannot reload its license or when the installation is damaged. Please try these steps:

Restart the computer and close all Office applications.

Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Office 2019, select the three dots, then Modify.

Choose Online Repair, not Quick Repair, and restart Windows afterward. Online Repair performs a more complete repair. (Repair an Office application)

If an Office application opens, select File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.

Check whether another Office or Microsoft 365 version is also installed, since multiple installations can cause licensing conflicts.

If Online Repair still fails, use Microsoft’s Office uninstall troubleshooter, restart the computer, and reinstall Office 2019 from the Microsoft account associated with the purchase

Please also tell us which applications are affected and quote the complete error message.

Note that Office 2019 support ended on October 14, 2025. The applications may continue working, but they no longer receive security updates or technical fixes, so upgrading to a supported Office version is recommended.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance
