Hey, what's happening there is that your Windows Audio Service (or the audio driver itself) is crashing in the background. The reason it locks at 0 and takes 2 to 3 minutes to come back is because that's exactly how long it takes for Windows to realize the service froze, force close it, and restart it automatically.
You can try the following fixes:
Disable audo enhancements, Press Win + R, type mmsys.cpl and hit enter. Right-click your main speakers or headset and go to Properties. Look for the Enhancements tab and check "Disable all enhancements". (If you don't have that tab, look under the Advanced tab and turn off "Enable audio enhancements").
While you are in that same Properties window, go to the Advanced tab and uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". Sometimes an app crashes and drags the whole audio system down with it.
Finally, if these fixes did not work you can try to reinstall the audio driver. Open Device Manager, expand "Sound, video and game controllers", right-click your main audio device (like Realtek) and click Uninstall. Make sure to check the box to remove the driver if it asks. Restart your PC and Windows will reinstall a fresh copy.
