Outlook will not update to the new office 2024 I purchased (macOS)

I downloaded MS Office 2024. It initialized and then it went through the process of checking for updates. Outlook would not update. It said there was a Check error: Installed Nov 16 2022. How do I fix this? Power Point, Excel, Word all updated.

Is this New Outlook or Classic Outlook? Do you have Office Home 2024?

If it is Classic Outlook, that can be the problem because Office Home 2024 doesn't include Classic Outlook. See apps inclusion comparison chart here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products

However, if you have Office Home and Business 2024, it should include Outlook. You can also manually install it here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/install-or-reinstall-classic-outlook-on-a-windows-pc

I had an old version MS Office. I assume Outlook is the classic look. All of the other MS Office programs updated. Outlook continues to give a check error. I have tried to download and install MS Office Home and office 2024 multiple times the Outlook update fails every time. I am on a MacBook. Short of uninstalling outlook and then reinstalling MS Office 2024 again, I am not sure what to do.

Can you first confirm, what Office do you have to be exact? Office Home 2024, or Office Home and Business 2024?

What macOS version do you use?

Ok, so Office Home 2024 doesn't come with Outlook. That's the problem.

Unfortunately I don't think you can purchase the standalone Outlook.

But we have been talking about Classic Outlook here so far. If you want the new Outlook, it is free. You can use it. https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/Outlook/outlook-for-mac
