I paid for a gamepass worth $34.95 AUD and it did give me the code but would not be redeemed.

To help narrow down the issue:

Where did you purchase the 3-month Game Pass code: directly from Microsoft/Xbox, or from another retailer or website?

What is the exact message you receive when you try to redeem the code? Does it specifically say the code has already been redeemed?

If you sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services does the Game Pass subscription appear there at all?
