Certification on different Microsoft account than Ambassador registration can it be manually credited?

Hi MLSA team,

I hold a Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification (earned July 2026), but it's under a different Microsoft account than the one linked to my Ambassador registration and Learn profile.

Can this certification be manually verified/credited toward my Ambassador requirement even though it's on a different account? Or is there a way to link this account as a secondary email to my main one?

Thank you!

Here are the answers to the questions raised in the Microsoft Learn community post:

    1. Can the certification be manually credited to the Ambassador account?

No, support cannot manually credit it, but you can resolve this yourself. Certifications and progress are tied directly to your Microsoft Learn profile. By merging the Learn profile of your secondary account into your primary Ambassador account, the Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification will automatically sync and count toward your requirements.

To consolidate your certifications and progress into a single profile, follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to Microsoft Learn using your primary account (the one linked to your Ambassador registration).
    2. Click your avatar icon in the top right corner and select Settings.
    3. Scroll down to the Account Management section and click Add account.
    4. Log in using your secondary account (the one containing the certification).
    5. The system will detect the existing history and prompt you to initiate a Profile Merge. Follow the on-screen instructions to combine them.

⚠️ Important: Profile merges are permanent and cannot be undone. Once completed, you will be able to access all your achievements using either login.

To help you proceed, please let me know:

    • Are both accounts personal emails (like Outlook or Gmail)?
    • Is either account a school or work account?

This will ensure you don't run into any tenant restriction errors

    during the merge.
