I have a product code for MS Office 2024 but it seems to be for MS Office 2019

I had MS Office 2019 on my Win 11 PC. I purchased MS Office 2024 but didn't delete 2019 first - big problem as the account page showed both but when I entered the product code I only had access to the 2019 version. I then deleted the 2019 version and re-installed the 2024 version but I can only see the 2019 version, but in the installed apps section it shows the 2024 version.

When using the repair tool from the installed apps page, and using quick repair, the process completes without any changes, and when I use online repair Office is removed but i get the error code Error code 0-2039 (0).Any help would be much appreciated.

It looks like the Office 2019 license information is still cached on your PC, so Office may be showing the older product even though Office 2024 is installed.

Please completely remove the existing Office installation first by using Microsoft's uninstall tool: https://aka.ms/SaRA-OfficeUninstallFromPC

After the removal is complete, restart the PC and sign in with the Microsoft account that redeemed the Office 2024 product key. Then reinstall Office from: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Also check that the Office 2024 key was redeemed under the correct Microsoft account. A product key that was already used for Office 2019 cannot upgrade or convert the license to Office 2024.

If the error 0-2039 (0) appears again during repair, the clean uninstall and reinstall usually fixes the corrupted Office configuration.
