I have an account balance in excess of $15.00. I would like to use this account balance to pay for my microsoft 365 monthly subscription which has expired as of yesterday. Please reactivate my subscription ASAP with the funds in my account balance.

    Hello!

Unfortunately, since it's already past-due, Microsoft account balance is not possible.

Microsoft account balance can't be used to pay for a past-due subscription.

You’ll need to use another available payment method to reactivate the subscription. For more details, please check this article: https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/pay-for-a-past-due-microsoft-subscription

A direct reactivation request cannot be completed here. For a consumer Microsoft 365 subscription, the supported self-service path is:

    1. Go to Services & subscriptions: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the expired Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. Find the subscription.
      • If it shows Pay now, select Pay now and complete the payment.
      • If it shows Manage, open it and review the subscription status.
    4. If the payment method needs to be changed, select Manage > Change how you pay.
    5. If there is a payment method error, go to Payment options: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments and update the payment method.

If the subscription is expired, the account page may show Renew or Resubscribe instead. If those options do not appear, the subscription may no longer be available.

If Office shows “ACCOUNT NOTICE. We've run into a problem with your Microsoft 365 subscription”, this is often caused by a payment issue such as an expired or canceled card. After updating payment details or renewing the subscription, restart the Office app.
