Microsoft Office and Home 2019 - Can't install 2019 Office and Home on my laptop even though it shows my subscription is active

If Office Home 2019 shows under the Microsoft account but will not install, use the account-linked install path instead of looking for a separate installer.

1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services/ with the same Microsoft account that was used to redeem or first activate Office 2019.
2. Find the Office 2019 product and select Install.
3. Run the downloaded setup file. If prompted by User Account Control, select Yes.
4. When setup finishes, open Word or Excel and accept the license terms to complete activation.

If the product key has never been redeemed, redeem it first at https://office.com/setup. Redeeming the key links Office to the Microsoft account, and that account is then used for installation.

If the laptop is new and came with preinstalled Microsoft 365, update Office first and then try activation again. A known issue on new devices could show incorrect activation/account messages for Office 2019, and this was corrected in Office build 16.0.11929.20394.

If the error says "The products we found in your account can't be used to activate", two supported fixes are:

• Update Office and try activation again.
• Reinstall Office 2019 from the account install page.

Also check that the installed apps match the edition owned. For example, Office Home & Student 2019 does not include every Office app that may be preinstalled on a new PC.
