I'm having persistent problems with dpc watchdog violation 0x133. It keeps freezing and shutting down my computer, mostly when I'm playing CivVI but at other times also (including as I was trying to post this question).

Things that may be helpful to note:

  • My computer is just over a year old.
  • The problem cropped up about three to four weeks ago. It does not appear consistently x minutes after booting up or anything. I did not make any changes or download anything in the period before the problem started.
  • I've run a virus scan.
  • My Windows Update is up to date.
  • I uninstalled and reinstalled Civ and continue to have problems in and out of game.
  • I uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver and continue to have problems.
  • I have done sfc /scannow as recommended on another person's question about this error and continue to have problems.
  • I have done DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth as recommended on another person's question and continue to have problems.

Minidump files are here, if it helps.

Thanks!

    Hi,

The minidumps indicate a problem with your computer's Kernel and Chipset, possibly due to drivers.

Search for msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here so we can see the correct laptop model or desktop configuration.

    Thanks
