Server configuration: SMO and DMO XPs

Use the SMO and DMO XPs option to enable SQL Server Management Objects (SMO) extended stored procedures on this server.

Starting in SQL Server 2012 (11.x), DMO is removed from SQL Server.

The following table describes the possible values:

The setting takes effect immediately.

Examples

The following example enables SMO extended stored procedures.

EXECUTE sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1;
GO

RECONFIGURE;
GO

EXECUTE sp_configure 'SMO and DMO XPs', 1;
