AgentProfileEnabled

Agent Profile Enabled

Supported versions

  • Windows: ≥ 158
  • macOS: Not supported
  • Android: Not supported
  • iOS: Not supported

Description

This policy controls whether Microsoft Edge uses isolated profiles for browser launches initiated by external AI agents. Each Agent Profile is associated with an agent identity and separates its browsing data from the user's normal profile and other agents' profiles.

If you enable this policy, Microsoft Edge opens agent-initiated browser launches in the Agent Profile associated with the requesting agent. A profile is created if one does not already exist.

If you disable this policy, Microsoft Edge doesn't use Agent Profiles. Agent-initiated browser launches are handled using normal user profiles.

If you don't configure this policy, Agent Profile availability follows the default browser configuration, which may vary depending on the browser version and feature rollout status.

This policy can only be set as a platform policy.
