Android.Service.Credentials Namespace

Provides the service, requests, responses, and entries used by Android credential providers.

Remarks

Derive from CredentialProviderService to handle requests to create credentials, find available credentials, and clear credential state. Begin requests let the provider return entries for the system selector. When the user selects an entry, its pending intent starts the provider activity for the next stage.

BeginGetCredentialOption contains candidate query data used to list entries. The later GetCredentialRequest contains the options needed to retrieve the selected credential. Do not treat candidate query data as the complete retrieval request.

Implementation details in this namespace are based on the Android 16 credential provider sources. The nested InterfaceConsts classes are .NET projections produced by the Java.Interop binding generator.
