Use collaboration spaces for sales teams

Completed

Sales Agent in Microsoft Copilot provides collaboration spaces that create Microsoft Teams teams and channels linked to CRM accounts or opportunities. They include predefined channels, pinned apps, and links to CRM storage locations.

Create a collaboration space with sales templates

Sales Agent provides two templates for collaboration spaces:

  • Account team - Creates a team linked to a CRM account. The General channel supports internal collaboration, and the Shared channel supports collaboration with people outside your organization.

  • Deal room - Creates a channel linked to a CRM opportunity. You can create the channel in a team linked to the parent account and optionally add a shared channel for external collaboration.

Create a collaboration space from Outlook

To use collaboration spaces, you need a Dynamics 365 Sales or Salesforce CRM account, a license that meets Sales Agent requirements, and Sales Agent installed in Outlook. Your Teams administrator must enable shared channels before you can add customers by using their federated identities.

In Outlook, open the Sales pane and use the Collaborate in Teams card for an account or opportunity. From the card, set up a new collaboration space or link an existing team.

Access a collaboration space

After the collaboration space is set up, open it from the Collaborate in Teams card or a CRM record in the Sales pane in Outlook. You can also open the account team or deal room channel directly in Teams.
