啟用大小寫不敏感匹配。 例如，帶有此旗標的「[ab]」會對應「a」、「A」、「b」和「B」。 「[^ab]」使用此旗標將匹配除「a」、「A」、「b」和「B」之外的所有。 此方法對情況映射進行完整閉包，例如 's'（U+017F 長 s）表示 's'。

此值為某些建構子的期權位元集合值，應用模式（applyPattern））及關閉Over（）。 它可以和其他無關的選項一起進行作業。

所得集合是碼點輸入的超集，但字串的超集則不是。 它對碼點進行格映射閉包，並為碼點加入完整的格摺字串，並將原始集合的字串化簡為其完整的格仔摺疊等價物。

此設計用於大小寫不區分的匹配，例如正則表達式。 完整的碼點閉包允許直接對輸入字元與閉包集合進行檢查。 字串的匹配方式是將閉包集合中的格摺形式與該字串的增量格摺疊進行比較。

如果原始集合包含大小寫等價的字串（例如 “ss” 或 “Ss” 的 U+00DF 等），則封閉集合也會包含單一碼點。 這對上述匹配方法來說並非必要（即冗餘），但無論原始集合包含碼點還是字串，都會產生相同的閉包集合。
