此特性具有資訊性;安全系統不會使用它。在Windows Vista及以後版本的 Windows 作業系統中，此屬性的預設值為 Negotiate，根據客戶設定的安全政策選擇最佳的安全支援提供者（SSP）。早期版本的 Windows 作業系統預設屬性值為 Kerberos。
