I am unable to log in to my Azure account. Azure asks for a 6-digit Microsoft Authenticator code, but my app generates an 8-digit code.
I can log in to Outlook and other Microsoft services, but not Azure.
Please help me resolve this issue.

How did you resolve your issue? I'm stuck in the same scenario. Reached out to Azure Data Protection team but they closed my case by saying, since I have hotmail account, they don't deal with it. I'm locked out of my azure account now.
To log into Azure, you need to use a work/school account, not a personal account. Six digits code is for work/school account. Eight digits code is for personal account.

Thank you for the suggestions but they didn't work. My authenticator is up to date and I'm using the correct account to generate the code. How do I contact Microsoft Support for further assistance or to reset your multi-factor authentication settings?
What's the domain of the email address you use to access Azure? Did you sign up for Azure yourself?

That’s a person account. Do you recall creating an account ending with onmicrosoft.com? That’s the one you need to use.
I don't recall an account ending with onmicrosoft.com. Can that azure account be reassigned to my personal account instead? Or can the Azure account I created be canceled or deleted so I can try again? Thank you for your help.
No, Azure account simply does NOT work with personal account, so there's no way to reassign, and nothing to cancel. You might enter a hotmail.com address to begin with, but that serves as "contact", not the actual username.
In this case, it might be easier to just sign up for a new one.
