For Outlook.com, the supported way to reach a live person is through Microsoft Support chat or callback options.
If access to Outlook.com is available:
- Open Outlook.com.
- Select Help on the menu bar and enter the issue.
- If self-help does not resolve it, scroll to Still need help? and select Yes.
- To contact support in Outlook.com, sign-in is required.
If sign-in is not possible:
- Use the Microsoft Support contact flow.
- In Windows, open Get Help.
- Type Chat with an agent.
- Select Contact support.
- Choose the product and service related to the email account issue.
- Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent or request a callback if that option is offered.
Another supported path is the Microsoft Support contact page flow:
- Go to Contact - Microsoft Support.
- Enter a short description such as Account Recovery.
- Select Get Help.
- Scroll down and choose Contact Support.
- For personal account issues, select Other Products.
- Then select Manage account security or Billing and Account Profile questions, depending on the issue shown.
- Choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser if available.
For Outlook.com-specific help, the Community forum is also available if live support is not immediately available.
