I forgot my Microsoft account password, and I no longer have access to the Gmail address that is being used for verification. I am still signed in to this Microsoft account on my laptop. I need help recovering the account and adding a new recovery method.

    Hello jerick

Thank you for reaching out, here's what you should do next while still have your account login to the computer:

    1. On your laptop (already signed in), open a browser and go to account.microsoft.com/security > Click Change password then follow the prompt to update your new password
    2. In order to adding a new recovery/login method, please go back to Security tab on your Microsoft account webpage then click Manage how I sign in.
    3. Locate the Gmail that you don't have access to anymore and click Remove
    4. Click "Add another way to sign in to your account" to setup a new recovery method.

    I hope that helps.
