How can I reinstall Word 16.66.1 on my MAC OS 10.15.8. We have a family subscriptions in my wife's name.

"I've been running Word 16.66.1 on MAC OS 10.15.8 through a family subscription purchased by my wife. in 2024. On her computer, Word was updated to 16.8.9 (24090815 . My version no longer updates. A little more than a week ago, I lost the ability to use most functions on Word. When I try to reinstall Word from our family subscription, I get a version that I can't install on MAC OS 10.15.8? How can I reinstall Word 16.66.1 which was working just fine for me?"

    If your macOS is below 12, Office products will now enter reduced functionality mode. In other words, the OS is too old to receive the licensing update the Office now requires. Installing an older version of Office apps unfortunately will not improve or change the outcome.

    If your device cannot update its OS to at least 12, your options will be: Use the web version or an alternative like LibreOffice.
